A Shaking for the Making

We are seeing the beginnings of the greatest shaking the world has ever known from issues related to morality, governance, liberty, and security.  The overall shaking will reveal the fullest expression of righteousness that has ever been seen in the world of man or looked upon by the angelic or demonic worlds.   This period of shaking will also reveal the darkest parts of mankind as unrighteousness fights to be recognized and accepted.  Prophets have longed to see these days.  Mankind, at all levels of society, is being assessed by the stable, justice-minded, yet mercy filled will of the Creator of all things – Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.   In this time of shaking, the real core values of each individual are being developed, exposed, and assessed.

God is patient and moves forward to the full benefit of those He has called His own.  He knows the depths of a person’s heart and soul.  A person may think they are lost with no hope and people around them may feel the same way but God is always extending an offer of hope and change.  There is never a ‘too late’ with God unless the person has said ‘No’ from deep within themselves from that place that God alone sees most clearly.  I pray that all who read this say ‘Yes’ to God and ask for His help because the world is being Shaken to Awaken!

God desires that all mankind, collectively and as individuals, comes to realize their potential in His Kingdom.  Christ came to redeem them and a key part of our reaching potential involves a shaking.  This shaking is a good thing as it brings out the best in us.  This shaking also exposes what needs to be dealt with through God’s grace.  God intends us to be pure, refined like gold, solid and immovable against the workings of satan and that of evil and the writer of Hebrews 12:27 shares with us the benefits of being shaken.

This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Rise and Demise

The world is being Shaken to Awaken because God’s mercy and justice call for it  There is a shaking that extends from determining the friends of Israel to the delineation of those who love and hate Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Son of God Jehovah.  This shaking will also be part of God’s assessing of the true nature of the individual’s heart.  Evil and righteousness are being provoked to come forth as surely as the Lord called Lazarus from the dead. When the Israelites left Egypt with Moses after the plagues and pressures, there were some who struggled with leaving and many did not leave.  Also, there were those who did not leave Babylon to return to Jerusalem and help rebuild the city and its walls in the days of Nehemiah and Ezra.  For them, their current world was comfortable enough and fear or rebellion prevented them from following God.  In all struggle and shaking there is a quickening to see the reality of things, to see things as they truly are.  As in an earthquake, all that lays out of sight and that has been forgotten is quickly brought to the surface and all that has been hidden is laid bare for all to see.

Praying in the Fray

Jesus prayed, ‘Lord forgive them, for they know not what they do’, all the while hanging on the cross as soldiers gambled for His clothes.  Stephen prayed that the sin of his own murder would not be applied to the very ones who were throwing stones to his demise.  Scripture tells us that we reveal that we are truly Christ’s disciples by our love for one another and love covers the weaknesses of the sinner.  A Church that stands in the face of opposition with the Heart of Christ and that of Stephen is a Church that has been shaken.

Hope on the Slope

It may look like the world is falling apart and in some fashion it is, but as Christians, we must remember that there remains a hope built on the fact that God is in Control and that He uses all things for His purposes and for the Perfecting of the Saints.  For those in the world who are lost and do not know the reason for the hope we have, this world truly does look like it is heading for a demise.  For those who know their God, they understand their redemption is coming closer and the enemy of their soul is about to get the confrontation of a lifetime and will face the harsh hand of our Loving Father God.

Craving for the Saving

When the Church comes back from the ways of the world and reengages with the Great Commission, we will see the greatest harvest of mankind – a level of salvations and spiritual empowerment that has, for many, been long forgotten or never known before.  Christ is calling for His Bride as His Father prepares to send Him to bring her to His side.  Our Christ is a Lion and He seeks a mate of His own nature.  Our Christ is a Warrior and his bride will have learned the ways of spiritual war as well as spiritual love.

A Shaking for the Making

I believe He has unleashed what the scriptures refer to as the Parable of the Wheat and Tares.  Wheat in the parable, or story, refers to all that is good and operating as originally intended.  Tares are the seeds and weeds of the enemy that were planted in the field to hinder the wheat growth and to damage the intended harvest.  But God, who owns the field and planted the wheat, is using the tares to make the wheat stronger (see Romans 8:28).  The wheat and the tares are being given a full time to come to maturity.  The fruit, or results, of sin have a reaping, as does the fruit of righteousness.  Are we not seeing the full and unashamed maturity of sin in the world?  Sin is being brought out of the darkness and into the light as the world calls evil things good and good things evil.  It is God’s heart that mankind see the errors of their ways, have a chance to turn to Him, and have a Church that responds in love so the hurting would will know those who are able and willing to help them learn truth and love.

At a time that only God knows, in the end of the parable of the wheat and tares, the tares are gathered and burned and the wheat is then harvested for the full and useful crop.  As Christians, we are destined for Victory and will soon see our full potential – but all that can be shaken will be shaken and all that remains will be the Glorious Sons and Daughters of a Glorious Creator God.  These are days the angels and prophets looked upon to understand!  The world must see us as a people who live love like we believe it while at the same time able to carefully explain God’s heart towards sin.

The words of 2 Cor. 5:20 (NKJV) ought to be a driving verse for our actions as we speak for God:

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

This Sunday at Harvest we will see what the Lord reveals to Elijah once he has been shaken and is told to arise!   It is Time to Rejoice!
